Department of Florida Marine of the Year and Associate of the Year

Nominations for the Department of Florida Marine of the Year and Associate of the Year are due not later than May 15th.  The nomination form can be filled out online before being printed. The form requires the Commandant and Adjutant to sign affirming that the nomination was approved by majority vote of the detachment.

Beginning this year, the signed forms can be scanned and emailed in - so please plan accordingly. All nominations for both Marine of the Year and Associate of the Year will be submitted to: moysdof@gmail.com (Marine of the Year Society, Department of Florida)

  • The instruction sheet (page 1) of the Transmittal form includes the codes to use in preparing Transmittals. New information to be included on all Transmittals are Profile #s for detachments and members. Profile #s can be found on the latest member rosters. Detachment Commandants and/or Paymasters can make changes to member addresses, email addresses and phones numbers via the MCL National Member Portal.

  • Transfer Request Form Send with a Transmittal form to the Department Paymaster

  • Death Notice Form

    • Detachment Paymaster — send 1 copy with Transmittal form to Department Paymaster

    • Detachment Chaplain — Send 4 copies to Department Chaplain

A copy of the Notice of Death is now to be sent by the Detachment Paymaster to the Department Paymaster. This is in addition to the copies sent by the Detachment Chaplain. Paymasters should refer to page 1 of the Transmittal form for the code to use and additional information (date of birth and date of death) to be included.
